The population of chicken is more than any bird

We know that there are different type of chicken breeds. There are pure breeds, egg laying hybrids and mixed hybrids. The egg laying breed are genetically prepared to have high egg productivity but then because these birds have small bodies, they are poor meat producers. Chicken is one of the most common types of bird found in the tropical countries after crows and sparrows. The population of chicken is more than any bird. Chicken is one of the most domesticated animals in the world. It is the primary source of food, in terms of meat and eggs both. The adult male chickens are primarily known as cocks or roosters. The female chickens are primarily known as hens and the younger female chickens are called pullets. The male young chickens like under a year old is called cockerels. Chickens are omnivores, they often scratch at the soil to search for seeds, insects and even larger animals such as lizards or young mice when they go in the wilderness. Wow! I didn't know it but chickens may live for five to eleven years, depending on the breed. Chickens are gregarious birds and live together as a flock. Roosters crowing is a territorial signal to other roosters. Crowing may also means from disturbances within their surroundings. The hen cluck loudly after laying an egg and also to call their chicks.
