I like Acanthus Hungaricus

Acanthus hungaricus is a strong beautiful plant that can send up flowering spike 2m to 7ft high. The leaves are long, soft and narrow. It is less dramatic than Acanthus spinosus and Acanthis mollis. This kind of plant spread seed for a distance of up to 5m/16ft. That means it can spread quite easily. Acanthus is a suitable plant to provide a backdrop for a planting scheme in gravel with its purple hooded flowers freely produce over the summer. Acanthis is a genus of about 30 species of flowering plants in the family Acanthaceae native to tropical and warm temperature region of the Old World with the highest species diversity in the Mediterranean region and Asia. The common names include Acanthus and Bears breeches.
