The plant Akebia consist of hardy, semi-everAkebiagreen, climbing plants that are native to China, Japan, and Korea. They are grown for their pretty flowers and foliage. This species also known as chocolate vine. It grown as either a twinning vine or vigorous groundcover and has slender, rounded stems that are green when young and brown at maturity.
