The Green- winged Macaw are the largest Macaw parrots

There are many kinds of Macaw but today I will share an article about Green-winged Macaw. Based on my research it is one of the largest Macaw parrots. It is beautiful in color, very distinguished its own right. It is considered to be one of the most docile Macaws and often referred to as the 'gentle giants.The Green -wing Macaws are usually between 26-39 inches 66-99 cm long including tail. The wingspan about 41 -49 inches which is 104-125 cm. They weigh between 32-60 oz.

Macaws are found from Mexico, through Central and South America and some islands of the Caribbean. This bird live in forests, swampland, open savannas, palm groves and along riverbanks depending on the ability of land and the country in which they are found. To identify the green Macaw, the breast is bright red, but the lower feathers of the wing are green. Further, this bird has characteristic red lines around the eyes formed by rows of tiny one of the biggest differences from a scarlet macaw to the casual viewer. Macaw are very messy eaters, their extremely strong beaks are perfect adapted for eating all sorts of nuts and seeds, as seen in their ability to crack open incredibly hard-shelled nuts such as Brazil nuts with ease.
